This is a very scenic course that is located on top of a mountain. The greens are well manicured and the fairways are plush. Water hazards come into play on several holes, including #15, a 492-yard, par 5, with a pond sitting in front and to the right of the green.

Dogwood Hills was designed perfectly for the average golfer. Reasonably open fairways on most holes and a pair of challenging par 3's (#3, #14) make it a course for all skill levels. By mid-summer the course is in picture-perfect condition and is definately the nicest course in the area. For the price you can't find a better course.

DogWood Hills has to be one of the most well maintained golf courses around this area.Since the grass is so greatly maintain it makes it alot easier to hit off the fairways and tee boxes.

The course is spectacular, both in scenery and in the variety of play that can be had -- from novice to expert. Tom Fasio did a great job, using natural elements beautifully. Watch out for the 4" rough! It is lush and can eat your balls so magically that they can NOT be found. Course management is excellent. Hazards are well maintained as are the fairways and greens. Most of the T-boxes are elevated and the views in the valleys include small waterfalls, hardwoods, mountain laurel and rhododendron covered hills with mountain vistas all around. The clubhouse offers wonderful sunsets and terrific food. Excellent additional amenities like a health club, tennis, practice areas. VERY nice bungalos for lease, nearby B&B, charming small town. Close to Asheville, Biltmore House, Grandfather Mountain, Greenville/Spartanburg airport, Appalachian Trail... We really love this area and this particular course.
