This course features tight fairways and small greens, which will challenge big hitters. Well-placed shot selection is at a premium on this beautiful course. Three holes are lined with well-established, majestic pines. The signature hole is #5, a 352-yard, par 4. Accuracy is critical on this hole due to an extremely narrow fairway and water, which lies in wait 220 yards from the back tee.

Great course to play for such a cheap fee. I have played this course over 20 times and it it still is challenging.

"Great Game if you like water"
The course is a fun and enjoyable course the water hazards are interesting and challenging. One hole very enjoyable roughly 50-60ft above the green hitting off a raveen down to the green 160 yds out.

I think that overall the course is nice. It could be so much better. Like if the fairways were bent grass and if you would take care of your creek edges and ponds. Van Cortlandt Park Golf Course
"Nice practice course, terribly crowded"
This golf course offers 18 holes, some of which are 'interesting', but most are far from challenging. It will offer you the opportunity to practice and the course is conveniently located for Manhattanites (take the 1 train to the Bronx). The course will take at least 5 hours to complete, although I usually end up near 6 hours. To many people and the resulting wait time are to be blamed for that, at least in the weekends (I never played during the week).
