This course is much more difficult than it looks. The greens vary in speed depending on the weather condition or maintenance. Even though the fairways are lined by pine and oak trees, they provide plenty of room for error.

Pierce park is a decent par 3, 9 holes. Nothing over 120 yards. You can play with a pitching wedge and a putter. This is mainly for novices and people who don't have a lot of time to play a full size course, or someone who wants to work on their short game. The greens are small and some of them can be challenging, but it's a fun after work type of place. It is well maintained and has a driving range.

Perry Golf & Country Club
"Best kept secret in central Iowa"
With rolling hills and mature trees, Perry G&CC is an aesthetically pleasing, yet challenging course. A beautiful pond surrounded by wildflowers is in play on the # 2 and 3 holes. Greens are in fine shape and medium fast. Accuracy off the tee is important because of the trees and some uneven lies. Although it is a private club, green fees for non-residents are easily accessible and very affordable. Carts available. The clubhouse staff is friendly and accommodating. Well worth your time and money.

"Great Public Course"
You must take into consideration this is a course run and maintained by County government so it's maintenance is not what it should be. Aside from that it is a great course. It is long, very challenging, fairly wide open and hilly. It's also a very pretty course. You would be hard pressed to find any course in a comparable price range that is this nice with such a beautiful layout. This course gets a lot of play during the week from senior citizens ( they get yearly permits ) but on Friday thru Sunday it is not crowded.

"HomeTown corse"
The corse is not hard at all but a fun getaway for a sunny afternoon when you have nothin else to do besides play the best sport on earth, and wanna kick back a relax on our nice moderate speed golf carts. Its fun and has a few challenging holes so give it a try. Got to give it three stars cuz its my home course.

The Course is in wonderful shape, the greens are fast and challenging.If you are a single digit handicapper the gold tees are a good test of your abilities.But an all around well manicured golf course.
