This very scenic course is wide open. Wind is often a factor when playing this course, so making the proper club selection is an important aspect of the game. The fairways are flat, and water hazards come into play on a few holes. Tall, mature trees line the somewhat narrow fairways.

Not good Course, Jun 15, 2004

Forest CC is not exactly Agusta. Many of the holes are poorly planned and it is not in good shape. On the day I played the #16 green was so bad they gave you an automatic two-putt. I hit 5 or 6 iron of many of the par fours. The greens are smaller than a newborn ferret. The driving range will squeeze about 7 people at the most (its too small).Yrdages are wrong at the driving range. The cart barn looks like it used to be a real barn. The carts are louder than cockateal's mating call and they are more colorful than a peackock's tail. good day -David Feherty

Stone Oak Country Club
"A beautiful midwest course worth playing"
This course looks timid on paper but watch out on the front nine. A couple of par 5's can really fool you by their degree of difficulty and a snowman is not uncommon on #6. The course is usually in immaculate shape with more hills on the back 9 that you would expect. The shortest par 3 I've ever played, #16 can be tricky even with the softest loft wedge. Overall this coursees beauty is in the top 10 in northwest ohio, and it is great fun to play given that you can find a member to take you out and enjoy it.

"Good Starter Course"
For an inexpensive, well maintained course to play while you are learning the basics of golf, this course is the one to play on. No par 5's. The course has good water, and easy par 3's that are helpful when you feel the pressure of the group behind you when your beginning. For the price, the location in Fountain Valley's Mile Square Park is beautiful, and I've never felt that a person starting off in the sport would feel embarrassed to make a mistake at this course.

"Valencia CC -- one of the finest in the U.S."
Valencia CC is a gorgeous layout and wonderful design that only gets better with maturity. This Robert Trent Jones course is a truly great test of golf. Demanding par fives and threes along with several of the finest par fours I've ever played make for a challenging and wonderful round. The 66,000 sq. ft. clubhouse with wonderful restaurant, grill room, snack bar, and great pro shop make this one of the most beautiful settings there is to play a round of golf. The practice facilities are absolutely great. This is one of the top 100 golf courses in the United States.
