This course plays longer than the yardage indicates, but the fairways are wide open. Two lakes come into play on a few holes, and many of the par 4's, from off both the men's and ladies' tees, will really challenge your shotmaking skills. Some picturesque settings and views are available for your viewing enjoyment, particularly on the back nine. The fairways and greens are well groomed. In spite of the standard cut of rough, strategically placed sand bunkers and tree-lined fairways will add to the course's difficulty factor, yet most of the landing areas are generous.

| NO HOUSES AND ROADS TO BE SEEN ON MOST OF THE HOLES ALLOWS YOU TO HAVE A TRUE COUNTRY CLUB EXPEIENCE. THE TREES AND COURSE ARE MATURE, SO HIT YOUR BALL STAIGHT TO SCORE. THE BACK NINE IS SURROUNDED BY TWO LARGE LAKES AND HAS BEAUTIFUL VIEWS OF THE ROCKY MOUNTAIN FRONT RANGE. THE FACILITIES ARE FIRST RATE AND THE DINNER AFTERWARDS TURNED OUT TO BE THE BEST FOOD I HAD WHILE VISITING NORTHERN COLORADO. |

Fun course for a long hitter, May 06, 2004 |

| I grew up in the area and worked in the kitchen for a while. I've played it quite a few times. 3 of the par 5's are reachable, though the 4th par five plays over 600 yards. The front nine is flat. The back nine is a bit hillier and has more water. There are 5 par 3s of varying difficulty. Good long iron play is really needed on some holes. The fairways and greens are usually in very good condition. It's also playable in the winter. It can be a lot of fun because you can get a ton of bounce on one of the downhill par fives with the frozen turf in January. |
