Not too bad, Jan 20, 2004

This golf course offers an exersise of the mental game and practice on accuracy. This course is one of the nicest in the area. The front nine offers chances to let loose and holes to decide what club to hit. The back nine is more flat yet a bit more difficult due to the mind set of trying to reach in two. This course is not a five because easyness and choices of veggitation and is not a four because of it being on a military base ( security check gates) however for someone who doesn't want to travel an hour or two away its nothing to complain about.

Dayton Valley Country Club
"A Real Golf Course, Open All Year."
DVGC is a real test of golf. All the holes are fair and require you to hit shots. 7-9 and 16-18 are some of the toughest closing holes around this area. There are plenty of birdie opportunities if you are on your game, there are also plenty of water hazards if you are off your game. It has been known to blow a little in the afternoon, so play as early in the day as possible. Dayton Valley is a fantastic course with a terrific staff.

Freeport Country Club
"Terrific old course"
Freeport Country Club is a terrific old course and it puts a premium on hitting the fairways and greens. The course was in beautiful condition and the greens are small and undulating.

Myakka Pines Golf Club - White/Blue Course
"A real golfer's golf course"
This course was designed to be a test for the average golfer. It is in the traditional design of Florida courses and not tricked up as many of the new courses are. It is fair but difficult at times. Some holes can raise up and bite you if you aren't concentrating. A lot of water and many bunkers make this a fun day on the Sun Coast.
