| I played the Ft Lewis Golf Course when I first started learning the game. Out of all the courses that I have played in the past 10 or 11 yrs, it is by far the most beautiful, challenging and yet forgiving course. I have played several courses in the Pierce , Thurston & Cowlitz County areas in Washington and only one comes close to comparing to Ft Lewis. So far, here in California, I have yet to find or play a course that even comes close to the Ft Lewis Golf Course. This course has some really wide fairways which provide for forgiveness and yet the terraine features present challenges like no other course I've ever golfed. The scenery at Ft Lewis is absolutely awesome. This is the only place I've ever played that I walked upto within 10 feet of a deer and her fawn in order to hit my next shot. Everything about Ft Lewis Golf Course is awesome. |
