This course is very challenging because many trees and sand bunkers can alter your shots. Water hazards come into play on several holes, and the terrain is rolling. A renovated clubhouse opened in 1999 and features a panoramic view of the entire golf course.

Two in One!, Oct 26, 2004

Rolling hills, woods, challenging fairways and greens await you on the front nine. Wide open, "grip and rip" opportunities are yours on the back. Course is well above average in upkeep and maintenance. Grounds Superintendent takes great pride in making this one of the best courses around SE Iowa.

North Park Golf Course
"Great Public Course"
You must take into consideration this is a course run and maintained by County government so it's maintenance is not what it should be. Aside from that it is a great course. It is long, very challenging, fairly wide open and hilly. It's also a very pretty course. You would be hard pressed to find any course in a comparable price range that is this nice with such a beautiful layout. This course gets a lot of play during the week from senior citizens ( they get yearly permits ) but on Friday thru Sunday it is not crowded.

Lake Junaluska Golf Course

Lake Junaluska is a decently manicured course, which is fun to play for the price. Very reasonable green fees usually mean lacking in the ammeneties... but do we go there to golf or what? Rolling hills and manicured greens make it a nice time.

Played the course in Aug. 2003. Nice course and club house. But the course is too short. Strong players will over power the course. Most par 4's are driver/3 wood and then wedge in. Par four 4th hole is a driveable par four. A bogey on that hole should leave a bad taste in one's mouth. The next hole, a short par three, is not too exciting despite a sloped green. The pro shop is well stocked and the pro is very friendly. Nice course to play but members may get bored after a year or two.
