This course was built on rolling terrain, so expect some uneven lies. There are some multi-tiered greens, but all of them are average-sized and undulating. Man-made and natural water hazards come into play on ten holes. A combination of scenic trees, flowers, and bushes have really enhanced the beauty of this course. The most difficult hole is #8, a 467-yard, par 4, highlighted by a dogleg right fairway, which is deceiving off the tee because you must really hit your shot to the left side of the fairway instead of right. This facility is also home to one of the most comprehensive practice and training complexes.

Best in area, Dec 28, 2004

This is easily the best public golf course in the Fort Mill/Charlotte area. Not a bad hole on the course. Was to be home for an LPGA event but got pushed out when the PGA Tour returned to Charlotte. A MUST PLAY!

Outstanding value, May 13, 2004

Greens are in super condition. Interesting and challenging, but fair layout. Bunker restoration program near completion. Enthusiastic, customer oriented management. Seniors get a real bargoon during the week. Try it; you'll love it.

Great Value!!!, Mar 20, 2004
reviewer: Joseph Horsley from Ohio
This golf course was as good or better a value than anything I have ever played. I am a senior golfer and myself and my three sons made a trip down to Myrtle Beach and just by chance, stopped in on Regent Park. They told me their rate for seniors is $25 all year 2004 Monday through Thursday! My sons paid $45 each but it was well worth it. They are in the process of doing some renovations to the greens and bunkers but it was clear to the four of us that this will be an unbelieveable course by mid-spring this year. I look forward to returning one day.

Good course, has all the basics, soon to be a hidden jewel, Feb 12, 2004
reviewer: Steve from Lowell, NC
I played here twice so far. The fairways were in pretty good shape. They recently hired a new superintendent from Charlotte National (Dino) who produces some of the best greens in Charlotte. With a little time, he will have those greens rolling right. He has already started re-doing all the bunkers. Some walks from green to the next tee would be impossible to make. It has some beautiful holes. Most bunkers did not have enough sand in them, but they're being re-worked now with some getting all new drainage and sand and some being filled in as grass bunkers. This will make it a fairer course.
