This is an executive course where the greens are tough and challenging. The fairways are tree lined and both open and narrow in width. It is not a forgiving course, though it is short. This public course is on the Caloosahatchee River, which is as wide as a bay and empties into the Gulf. There are families of eagles that nest in the trees on the course.

Riverbend's phone number is wrong on this site. The correct number is 239-543-2200. The greens fee is around $35. There are good value vaction rentals on this golf course and you can rent a condo for a month and play unlimited golf for $3000 plus tax.

Gaines County Golf Course
"west texas' best course"
A challenge for beginners, yet not so that you cant shoot par. Hole5 is the #1 handicap on the course, a challenging par 4 that will require a 260+ yard drive down the fairway then you might use anwhere from a 5 wood down to a 4 iron and get it on the green and putt for birdie, that would be the best why to play it my opinion. If you play here the greens are fast and the rough is medium, there alot of trees onthe front 9 but nothing a intermidate to a master golfer couldnt handle. So if your an ameture this the best course to play in west texas.

A very different challenging layout. A need for power, finesse and a little luck will be needed on this course. Fairways in good shape. Greens are in good shape but could be faster. A decent value for your money.
