This club has three nine hole courses that are played in three eighteen hole combinations. All three courses are interesting to play. The main difference between the courses is the terrain. The Red Course is flat, the White Course is very hilly and the Blue Course has a mixture of terrain. The White Course is the most challenging because of its hills and tight fairways. The Red and Blue courses have open fairways. All three courses have small greens with medium speed. There are water hazards that come into play on all the courses as well.

"Tough Day"
I played this course with my brother,(scratch) on a Saturday in September 2003. We found it easily, we paid and went thru the rather surly starter and we were off, there wasn't much of a wait on the first tee. The first couple of holes were standard, it was a rather breezy day so I was really challenged to keep my ball on our the fairway.(this would be my problem for most of the round). Nice elavation changes, and the course looked great compared to it's neighbor,(whitetail). Dogs and beer at the turn. The back nine was just as nice as the front. Immaculate greens with challenging pin positions. Afterwards it was a couple of more beers and burgers at the lounge. Good food. If we had more time we would have gone to their fine dining restaurant, got a glance at their menu, looked really nice. great sunset too! Overall a great day.

Thorny Lea Golf Club
"Awesome Course here, guys."
This course is first-rate. It is challenging, but definately golfable. The best hole is the 6th. Its a par-4, around 425 yards. You hit into a hill, on the other side of the hill, there is a creek. You can lay up from the top of the hill, or go for it. You hit onto a two tiered green, with the cup usually on the upper tier. I loved this course, and I suggest it to anyone who gets the chance.
