This course was built on rolling terrain, and features many tree-lined fairways. Water hazards come into play on four holes, and the some of the small greens are elevated. The signature hole is #9, a 153-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot to an elevated green that is surrounded by five sand bunkers.

Well maintained. Plays longer than yardage when wind is out of the southwest. Wonderful greens putt true. long rough makes missing fairway troublesome.Par 3's can play difficult with bunkers Nice pro shop and friendly members and staff. Very good dinning room

While short in length although with a wind, the par 5's can play long, the rough and traps will make you realize quckly this is no easy walk in the park. The greens are fast and true and the fairways are in excellant shape. Orchard Ridge could rank higher if the traps were consistant. On balance, one of the best courses in the area. Friendly easy going club.

River Plantation Country Club - Augusta/Biloxi Course
"Challenging Layout"
Fun, challenging layout with recently reworked tees and greens. Course conditions a little spotty and a "mud-fest" if there's even a chance of rain. $25 weekday green fee is fair but $50 on weekends is a little out of line with other area courses. Some good money games on most days.

Glen Garden Golf & Country Club
"History"
Glen Garden is a great place for Golfers of all ages. Playing on the course, it is easy to see how it produced such greats as Hogan and Nelson. They have the classic postage stamp greens. You must be accurate with your approach shot or you will miss the green. It is a great course for beginners as there are relatively few holes where a bad shot will lose your ball. The pace of play is very relaxed and the course staff are over the top friendly. The only down side to Glen Garden is that when it was built it was out in the country (1912?). In the 1950's Fort Worth grew and houses went up all around the course. Unfortunately these houses we small wooden houses and over the years it has become the bad side of town. There have been huge efforts by the local population over the last ten years to clean things up but it will take time. I highly recommend a visit to Glen Garden for any golfer. If you have an interest in history you will find it fantastic to consider you are walking on holy grounds.

Pin Oaks Golf Club
"Awful"
This course is absoulutely awful. The fairways have huge rocks and bahiagrass. I would not pay money to ever play there again.

Twin Creeks Golf Course
"Good for a short course"
I was visiting during a misty, rainy day but other than that I really enjoyed this course because it is not as easy as it looks. You really need to know your irons when playing this course. It's very easy to over-hit some of the holes.
