This course features the horseshoe-shaped St. Joseph River winding around its front nine. Overall, water hazards come into play on ten holes. In addition, approximately thirty well-positioned sand bunkers have been incorporated into the course design. The course was built in a gravel pit and its greens vary between small and large in size. The front nine is short and tight, while the back nine is more open. The front nine includes rare back-to-back par 3's. The signature hole is #15, a 470-yard, par 4, requiring a blind uphill approach shot to the green. The main objective is to hit the greens in regulation or you'll be in trouble.

Ban cart paths, Sep 08, 2005

I like this course very much but I wish they would get rid of the gravel cart paths. perhaps they could put paved aprons near tees and greens.

Not too bad, May 06, 2004

I only played the first nine but it was fun. From the first tee you get a unique look with monsrous power lines going down the middle of the course. The standing rule is your pick if the ball hits the tower. You like it where your ball hit, keep it. If you don't it's ok to hit again. Also lots of water in the way. If windy, be cautious and use irons off the tee.
