This is a well-maintained executive course. Water hazards come into play on at least five separate occasions. The terrain is fairly flat, so it's easy to walk. The fairways are only lined by a scattering of trees. This course is lit at night until 10 PM. The ladies tee off from the same set of tees as the men.

Good Starter Course, Jan 30, 2004

For an inexpensive, well maintained course to play while you are learning the basics of golf, this course is the one to play on. No par 5's. The course has good water, and easy par 3's that are helpful when you feel the pressure of the group behind you when your beginning. For the price, the location in Fountain Valley's Mile Square Park is beautiful, and I've never felt that a person starting off in the sport would feel embarrassed to make a mistake at this course.
