Locals claim that this is the oldest course in continuous use in the United States. The greens are small, elevated, and in excellent condition. There are numerous trees lining the narrow fairways that can alter your shots. The fairways and greens are bordered by U.S. Open length rough. This club has been listed by the USGA as one of the first 100 clubs established in the U.S. In addition, "GOLF Magazine" named it to its 1995 list of "The First 100 Clubs in America. There is an additional set of men's tees that can be used when playing an eighteen hole round.

| The only time I played this course the greens were lighting fast even in a downpour. I also like the small cottages that suround the course. |

Worth a visit, Feb 26, 2006 |

| Playing Foxburg is a pleasure. I visited the course on an October Sunday and my brother and I practially had the course to ourselves. It's certainly a challenging course, and one where the average hacker [like me] doesn't have to worry about putting a ball in the drink.....unless he hits an awful shot over the side of the hill and in to the river - which is probably impossible. Must have been really interesting playing when the railroad still ran through the course. Legend has it that a woman golfer was taking her second shot from between the rails when a train working upgrade hit her in the backside. |

| One of the most challenging courses in the area. Due to the fact that every green is elevated and drains better than the roof on your house they are some of the fastest greens you'll ever putt on. The trees make for very difficult second shots if your tee shots aren't straight. located a couple miles of I-80 this course is well, worth the travel. |
