These courses were built on rolling terrain, so you can expect many uneven lies. Water hazards (ponds) come into play on many holes. The club only offers discounts for seniors on weekdays. By the end of 2001, the club hopes to have a total of forty-five holes.

Little known secret!, Nov 06, 2004

This course is beautifully maintained. Each of the three courses is very challenging. The green fees are the cheapest around Chicagoland. The new driving range and "Golfdome" complete this facility. Located deep South from Chicago, but worth the trip.

White Hawk Country Club
"Better than others around"
I have golfed at White Hawk for the past three summers and have found it to be a challenging three courses. With black being the hardest it is to the difficult level of a 5-10 handicap player. On average I should in the high 70's and find some days more challenging then others depending on pin placement. But if you are a golf with great accuracy then this course will be almost no match for you. For if you are able to stay in the farways even par is something insight. The course itself is taken care of very nicely and almost all of the employees are friendly. Overall it is my favorite course in the area.

Greens are good size with a lot of movement. Fairways are wide enough to have forgiveness. Challenging and interesting layout. Front 9 is better than back.

Oglebay Resort - Palmer Course
"Palmer Designed Course Review"
I played on the Palmer Course last summer and I absolutly loved it!. It was the first time I had played the course and was intimidated at first. The greens are perfect, the fairways are like carpet, and the rough is devastating. After the the first hole, I got the hang of the green speed and the firmness of the fairways. I turned in one of my best scores of the year that day with a 79. It was a wonderful experience and I cannot wait to do it several times this year.
