Nice Little Course in Frankfort, Oct 07, 2004
reviewer: David Majher from South Euclid, Ohio
My family likes to vacation in the summertime at Crystal Lake, in Frankfort, Michigan. While on vacation one highlight is to play golf with my 10 year old son. His first time on a golf course was at age 7 on Frankfort golf course. We have played there now a total of two times, the last time with his grandfather. Frankfort is a short 9 hole public golf course. A nice place for kids or seniors to play. You can leave your driver in the bag as most holes are no longer than 300 yards. It is a tight hilly course which teaches kids to keep it straight off the tee. Golf Highlights: The golf course has a road that goes through a number of holes, so it is not unusual to see a car or truck waiting for you to play through before it drives through the fairway. Because of the hills some tee shots are blind to the fairway. At these teeboxes they have a telescope type device to help see the fairway, but the last time there they were in need of repair. They have one hole that has two greens, the scorecard tells you can choose to play which ever one you want. The clubhouse has an old country type setting. The last time I was there the green fees seemed to go up (dosent everything!) and they stop serving food, just pop and candy. The clubhouse does have a nice Irish Setter type dog. My favorite hole is number nine a 90 yard par 3 with an elevated tee box. But watch out you might hit the clubhouse if you hit it to the right. Hey when you don't know anyone to get into Cyrstal Downs Country Club (private club down the street) Frankfort golf course isn't a bad place to play golf.

Great for beginners and casual golfers, Jul 19, 2004
reviewer: Mel from Pittsburgh, PA
Run by a very nice staff, Frankfort, with no water hazards and virtually no sand, is a nice course for beginners and casual golfers. Very walkable.
