This well-manicured and challenging course is quite scenic. The fairways are tree lined, and the large greens are fast. The course was built on rolling terrain, and a lot of water hazards and sand bunkers protect the greens and fairways. The ladies' par is actually 74.

pine hills is a nice course for the average player who doesnt have to worry about hitting it far. the greens are generous but have plenty of breaks and speed. the course is well maintained for the most part. the only bad part is the cartpaths need work.. i like how the fairways have yardage markers in the middle. that way i found was easier to measure the distance i needed without having to search for a marker hidden somewhere in the grass. i enjoyed the course alot and would recommend it to everyone. i met the owner, Carl, and he was very nice and accomodating. great course and the price was very fair..

Course is short, but has many challenges and favors the thoughtful and accurate hitters, not so much the long ball people. I have found the course well maintained and fun to play. We like to play a variety of courses to avoid getting stale on any one, but play Pine Hills as often as we can. It's always in better shape than most other courses around the area and the management is always friendly and customer oriented.

Andover Golf & Country Club
"One of the Best"
Andover is certainly one the best course in the region. It is very challenging as well as one of the most beautiful courses around. The greens at peak season are like glass, the roughs will chew you up and cost additional strokes and the narrow fairways boarded by homes will make you shiver. Your score is determined how well you can over come the fear of taking a full swing or whimp out just to keep it in play. Not being an extra long course makes you contemplate the great shots instead of the smart ones. When you make a mistake take the bogey and go on to the next hole.

Redstone Golf Course - Hillside/Meadowview Course
"The Arsenal Courses"
Hillside and Meadowview are generally better than Whispering Pines. Each nine has its own character. Hillside was renovated in 2001. For the low price the courses are pretty good. The fairways are pretty wide, some, but not a lot of trouble, although there are a few very challenging holes on each nine. The ninth on Hillside used to be a par four, so its fun for us duffers to play a par five that we can reach in two evry once in a while. The ninth on Meadowview requires a good drive over water, # 7 is a 192 par three with a green that is not very deep but very wide.The course is kept in pretty good condition yearround. Not much water or sand.
