Forrest Crossing is a course that sees a great deal of play. I am a 3 handicapper and enjoy this course thoroughly. The greens are always respectable and very true to putt. Fairways are in good shape except after the occasional flood in the spring, which impacts about 4 holes. FCGC is one of my favorite public golf courses in the local area.

Good enough, Aug 30, 2005
reviewer: Tom Henderson from Nashville, TN
This is a very fair course. You will use most of the clubs in your bag. Hitting the ball average distance, the course rating is reasonable. My only objection is that all the par 3's are vitually the same distance. The par five's (with the exception of 18) are reachable for many players. There are few bumkers and the greens are not difficult.

Layout Beautiful, Greens Awful, Apr 30, 2004
reviewer: J Houser from Franklin, TN
Though the course boasts a beautiful layout, including an especially enjoyable back nine, the greens are awful. I'm no expert, but i think about 3 or 4 years ago, a second type of grass was allowed to grow in destroying any type of true roll. It's ashame because this used to be one of my favorites, as the staff is outstanding, the club house and food very nice. If you can get out first thing in the AM after they've trimmed them, it's still worth it. If you tee off after 11am, get ready for a bumpy day.

Thinkers course, Feb 20, 2004

This course is maintained in very nice shape for a public course. It provides plenty of challenge for the average golfer, at a reasonable fee. Staff is helpful.
