This course is presently a nine hole golf facility. Nine new holes are scheduled to open in July, 2000, making this an eighteen hole course. The greens are moderate in size, with a mixture of flat and undulating topography. The fairways are open and there are elevation changes throughout. Water comes into play on five holes. The course is situated on a tributary of the Clark Fork River. The signature hole is #4, a 213-yard, par 3, which plays from an elevated tee, over a large pond that fronts the large green. The challenge lies in carrying the water off the tee and holding the green.

"good short course"

Sleepy Hollow Golf & Country Club
"Laid Back Golf"
Sleepy Hollow is a very good layout that suffers mainly from a lack of year round irrigation. The tees suck but the greens and fairways are usually in good shape. This is no frills golfing at its best. No tee times required. Just show up and play. There is no clubhouse to speak of, the carts don't always work, and you will encounter 5-somes and 6-somes (but don't worry; they play faster than most 4-somes). Why play there? Because the layout is demanding, you can meet some really interesting people, and it is cheap. All the golf you can play for around $20 if you walk, but you better be in pretty good shape if you plan on walking. Don't bother going if you are looking for a country club experience. This is a club that is out in the country and has that laid back attitude to go with it.

Heatherwood Golf Club
"A golf course should not be located on this property"
This golf course is an example of the fact that you cannot take any piece of land and design a golf course on it. The property on which Heatherwood is located is so steep and tight that the designers would have to have moved millions of cubic yards of earth to make suitable fairways. The course features a Par 5 for example which should be played with a 6 iron from the tee, an 8 iron for a second shot and an approach with a Wedge. The saving grace for this course is the good bent grass greens. If tight fairways and blind shots are your bag, then give this one a try.

Creek at Qualchan, The
"Great Course"
The Creek at Qualchan is a great course. I play there a couple of times a year and every time I go I like it more and more. The course is always kept in great condition and the service is great.
