This course is situated on gently rolling terrain. The fairways are narrow and tree lined, however, golfers need not worry about finding errant shots because the woods are uncluttered and well maintained. The greens vary in size and shape and are undulating. The greens on the par 3's are generally small, while the par 5's feature larger greens. A pair of holes feature two-tiered surfaces. Ponds come into play on four holes. The signature hole is #7, a 148-yard, par 3, which has a water hazard fronting the green and guarding the right side. There are grass bunkers to the left and back of the green. From the tee, golfer's are offered spectacular views of the nearby countryside.

| Tall Pines was a pleasureable experience for me. The greens were excellent and manicured. Pro was friendly and helpful. Some holes are a challenge and it is fun to play. It is convenient for myself and my grandchildren, as we have a camper at Lake Timberline,it becomes very convenient. |
