This facility has three nine hole courses played alone or in varying eighteen hole combinations. The terrain is hilly throughout all three layouts. The Red and White courses feature an abundance of trees and play fairly tight, while the Blue Course is more open. The signature hole is #9 on the Blue Course, a 229-yard, par 4, featuring a 100-foot elevation drop from tee to green.

Good for some golf tune up, Nov 02, 2010

This is a good place to start your season. Its a real basic course, nothing flashy. The folks in the clubhouse are great. I like the fact that it draws a lot of blue-collar people. Its not stuffy. Go see Woody, he's a cool dude. Lessons are very reasonable there too.

The Ridge is great! 27 Fun holes. A great lunchtime course or squeezein a quick nine before the sun goes down. The holes are short, but the greens are nice. Harder than you might think.....

Hilltop Golf Course
"TOUGH GREENS"
I live in the neighborhood so, I've played it many times. Very nice course. Be in shape if you're gonna walk it, though, it isn't called Hilltop for nuthin! Competitive rates, great conditon. These greens are TUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUFF. They're fun though, as is the whole course. Lotta trees lining the fairways, so you gotta keep it straight. Not a lot of water comes into play, just a few holes.

Springfield Golf Club
"Dakota's Pebble Beach"
One would hardly expect to find a gem like the Springfield Golf Club in this rural setting in an agricultural state such as South Dakota. This course demands your best game with keeping the ball in the fairway a premium. Although not a long course, the long hitter does not have a major advantage. Tree-lined fairways are expertly maintained and the greens are challenging. All of this quality golf is accompanied by some of the most beautiful scenery in the state. The course is built on bluffs overlooking Lewis and Clark Lake and the view from every tee is extraordinary. This wonderful nine hole golf course has earned the right to be called Dakota's Pebble Beach.

This course had excellent winter conditions in the winter of 2004. The course has a little too much water for the average resort golfer. If you like doglegs, you will like this course. Otherwise....

I've played this course a couple of times while visitting and enjoyed it both. The price was great for the quality and difficulty and the staff very friendly. I'm a 18 handi-capper and it fit my game well, challenging, but fair.
