This fairly open course has some tree-lined fairways, but all of them are bordered by a standard cut of rough. The large greens are slightly sloped and have medium speed. The terrain is basically flat, but there are two hills that can cause some uneven lies. There are junior discount rates available, but only when the youngsters are on summer vacation from school. Tee times are only reserved for weekends and holidays.

Long Hollow, May 05, 2008

I like this course. It is an easy 18 holes but not too easy. My problem with Long Hollow is the price. It was fair when it was $30.00 but since then it has gone up. It is not worth more than $30.00 because it is way over played which makes the greens very hard.

Very playable and beautiful course. Plays well for experienced golfers or younger players still learning the game. From my experience, younger players are encouraged to play this course as long as the adults playing with them show respect and are considerate of the players behind them. A very enjoyable golfing experience. The staff is tremendous.

Rancho San Joaquin Golf Course
"This course helped my game!"
With it's many doglegs and elevation changes, this course will quickly teach the beginners how to setup their approaches, while giving the lower handicap players a reasonably challenging round. 5 of the first nine pins cannot be seen from the tees. If you spray your tee shots, you will surely be struggling to make par. The par threes are deceiving with two short downhills, and two 150-ish up hills. These have been my achilles heel. There are not to many water hazzards, but they are well/poorly place depending on your tendancies. They can easily swallow your ball if your not carefull. The traps are typically limited to wrapping the greens, but watch out for the 5th hole, with its deceiving horizontal sand at 230 yards out. The grounds are well kept with mid speed greens that exactly match the practice green. Prepare for an even mix of wide and narrow fairways, and many misleading doglegs, both slight and sharp. This course has made me a better golfer, and I can't say that about many. Enjoy!

Eagle Ridge Golf Club
"Toughest course I've ever played."
I live in Arizona and I've played golf on many courses and Eagle Ridge gave me the most bang for my buck. Challenging holes, beautiful scenery, and reasonable prices. I'd reccommend this course to seasoned golfers, beginners may have trouble with some of the bunkering and forced carries but nobody said golf was fair. Pull out the big stick and let it rip in Gilroy. Don't forget to say hello to Uncle Frank.

This golf course could be great if they had anyone who knew how to maintain a golf course. It currently is slighty better than a cow pasture.The views of Mt.Hood are great,the location is great,the fees are the cheapest in the state.No clubhouse is a major negative.A great place for a gorgeous walk,but not a place for a serious golfer.

"Good Course"
I am a beginner golfer, and this is the place i am learning how to play. The staff is friendly and the other players always lend a helping hand. the course isnt too difficult, but its not easy. especially holes 2 and 6 where you have to hit over water. It's a nice course to play and I recomend it to anyone in the area.
