The course is cut out of the hills just west of Lake Ray Hubbard. As a result of the influence of the lake, there are normally moderate to strong winds. The course has five par threes and only three par fives so it's total distance of 6500 from the championship tees is misleading. The greens are the main attraction. They are mostly elevated with severe slopes. The bent grass is well maintained and fast. Be careful to leave your approach shot below the hole as many holes are very unforgiving if you put yourself in a postition to putt or chip downhill. I thouroughly enjoy playing this wonderful course and believe it is one of the best kept secrets in the Dallas area.

"Great Course"
This is a terrific course - challenging but fair. The setting and views are spectacular. Tucked in the La Quinta cove, wind is not a factor like in other desert courses. Condition is excellent.

Clifty Creek Golf Course
"Aluxinterior course review"
Clifty Creek is a subtle golf course isolated in the southern Indana landscape. Devoid of the typical golf snobbery this is a great course to relax with friends or work on your game. The only thing that this course is lacking is another nine holes and more sand traps, but I believe both are currently under construction.

River Park Golf Course
"Under estimated"
River Park Golf Course is an amazing asset to the small town of Mackay ID. Many people including myself under estimated this golf course. When I arrived at the course I felt like I was too good of a golfer for a course like River Park but I was completely caught off guard. The narrow fairways, small quick greens and water hazards made it impossible for me to come close to paring the course the first few times. If you want a golfing challenge visit this wonderful course, where you will also be treated with genuine hospitality.

Twin Creeks Golf Course
"Good for a short course"
I was visiting during a misty, rainy day but other than that I really enjoyed this course because it is not as easy as it looks. You really need to know your irons when playing this course. It's very easy to over-hit some of the holes.
