This club doesn't permit outside play on weekends. The course is mostly flat, but there are a couple of hills that can cause uneven lies. There are some very picturesque areas on this course. The course is public Monday through Friday.

Nice course -- quick play, Oct 05, 2009

This semi-private, par 34 course is located in Garrison, NY and is easily assessible by train for those NYCers without a car (course is located about 0.3 miles up the hill from the Garrison train station). Course features five par 4s, three par 3s and one par 5. The course doesn't look difficult, but your scorecard after the round will look like you had a challenging afternoon. Annoying electric wire crosses the 3rd hole and could affect your approach shot to the green (shot may be replayed without penalty). Love the 7th hole - a par 3 drop from an elevated tee. 8th hole is a challenging, narrow par 5 with a tiny green. Greens in general are pretty small. Open to the public during the week and on weekends between Memorial and Labor Days after 2PM. Restaurant is excellent. Recommend getting to the course at noon, having a nice, tasty lunch, then getting ready for teeing it up at 2PM for a quick unobstructed round (although you may have some competition for that first 2PM tee off from me!). Fun little course.

Fun for all levels., Jun 03, 2005
reviewer: BigR22 from New York
9 hole course (second set of tees if you play 18.) Great course for young or older golfers---longest par 4 is 300yds. Also a good track for mid to low handicappers to work on short irons-wedges...small, postage stamp greens make for tough approach shots. Fun, old course in the hudson valley (over 100 yrs old). Great views of Hudson River and United States Military Academy. Open to public during the week.

Fun course, Oct 11, 2004

Highlands is a fun little track. It's a nine hole layout and not long, only one par five. Par fours average about 285 yds. Great views of the Hudson Highlands and West Point.
