This is a very demanding course. The front nine is flat, and the back nine is hilly. Water hazards come into play on a five holes and numerous sand bunkers have been positioned throughout the course. The fairways are mostly tree lined, but there are a few wide open holes.

| The conditioning of this course is....how shall I say this...absolutely sublime. This is Augusta National on steroids, without Martha Burke. Arguably the toughest three opening holes in Championship golf. Although not excessively burly from the tips, this rascal of a course can come up and snap you in the derriere just like the big snappers lurking in the greenside pond on #4. Watch out, hot $#@ ^, it i'll burn ya. I'm not sure what's going on with the green on #12, but no worries, the tree-lined tight fairway on #13 will make up for it. |

| In the whole Lake Gaston Community there is not a better place to play. Beautiful greens, fairways, even the roughs are in excellent shape. |
