This lengthy course's front nine is wide open, while its narrow back nine is heavily wooded. This club features a smaller version of Augusta's "Amen Corner" coming into play on the back nine. Water hazards come into play on eight holes. However, only a few greenside sand bunkers have been incorporated into the course design. Hole #11, a 193-yard, par 3, requires a tee shot over a pond to a green protected by a pair of bunkers in front. "Golf Digest" wrote the course was in "excellent condition all season and extremely playable for all levels."

Nice Course, May 22, 2004

Many hills make for some tough lies and blind shots. Course is in excellent shape. Back nine is tougher than front nine. Never busy during afternoons on Summer weekends.

Tha't what it takes to score well on this course. While there are a few places where you can recover from a shot out to the right, for the most part you must stay on the fairway and hit the tiny greens to score well here.

"A great pitch-and-putt"
Although part of it will soon be bulldozed for a car dealership, I highly reccomend getting there while it's still a full 18 holes! Some holes are lacking in creativity, but quite a few give tricky shots over bunkers, mounded terrain, and alongside the Hockanum River. It's relatively affordable, and a fun way to kill an hour and a half or so.
