This traditional course has elevated greens and very narrow fairways. Accurate tee shots are at a premium on this course. One of the most difficult holes on this course is #6, a 590-yard, par 5, requiring shots over a ditch that meanders its way up the fairway. A U.S. Open Qualifying event was held here in 1993. Tee times are only reserved for weekends and holidays.

Tight but Dry, Mar 16, 2004 |

| The course always appears in good, if not great shape. I found the fairways to be relatively tight and well manicured. The problem that I have with the course is the lack of difficulty. Very little water exists anywhere, and with the exception of a few holes, the scenery is plain. To go to the next level requires additional streams and ponds, as well as elevated greens and tee boxes. More sand traps in a few places would add to the lack of terrain as well. Having the phone actually work (#9 tee box to the "grill") would be a real plus as well. |
