This course was built on rolling terrain and features a water hazard coming into play on one hole. The course is bordered by the Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley. "Golf Digest" rated this course as the 9th "Best Public Course" in the state for 1996. The toughest hole is #18, a 562-yard, par 5, which requires a straight drive, and the last eighty yards doglegs uphill to the right through a narrow path of trees. The green on this hole is guarded by large sand bunkers on the front and either side.

This is a very nice course, both to play and to look at. The setting is beautiful and the course has several tough holes. Anyone would be pleased they played here.

Kentucky Dam Village State Resort and Golf has been the site of our spring trip for 9 years now. The cost and the course are some of the best you will encounter. The staff has treated us like family every year we spend there. The course is as hard as you want to make it. Spend some time here and you will want to come back year after year like our group of twenty.

Laguna Lake Golf Course
"Not Fancy, But Fun!"
A tricky little course, designed by someone that knew their business. Shots over trees in the middle of the fairway, elevated, tricky (and fast) greens add to the enjoyment of this 9-hole course. Definitely recommended for golfers that like a bit of a challenge on shorter holes. The greens and fairways are in excellent shape, and the overall course is very well maintained. For the price, this course is an unbeatable value.

"Declining conditions"
Having played this course over the last ten years, I can't help but be dismayed by the declining conditions. It is a classic course that was consistently enjoyable until the last two years. In this time, the course condition, length of rounds and restaurant amenities have all gone downhill. I hope that they can turn this around because it is no longer worth the greens fee that they charge.
