about the most fun you can have for nine dollars., Apr 23, 2011 |

| Clayton is a nice little 9-hole crammed into a municipal park. Though the layout doesn't make sense, the rest of it is a blast. Expect absolute beginners and slow play at times, but also expect to meet up with pretty talented golfers that still enjoy the place. An extra 9 holes is only two dollars. You won't mistake it for Glen Mills, but at a tenth of the cost that's ok. Lots of nature around, look for the groundhog on 9 and the prairie dog on 7. |

Great for Beginners, Feb 13, 2009 |
| reviewer: Boots Raymond

| I love little Cayton Park. Its the perfect 1st "real" course. Longest is 270. A beginner can use all the clubs and have fun on the wide fairways. Greens aren't good but you don't mind for $10. The down side is, playing on a course full of beginners is a drag after a while... and possibly dangerous. |

Golfing as a begginer, Feb 26, 2004 |

| This is deffinitely a 5-star begginner course for 1st timers . The people who golf are so bad it isn't even funny. well actually it is pretty funny. Like I know this kid named bob pennock who hit the ball behind him. Man did he suck but this course was perfect for him because he only shot 60 over. At cobbs creek, which by the way is not the best begginers course in the land he shot a 285. He is a good guy. But after he went to Clayton Park for a while it helped him alot now he is shooting 5 over at Clayton and 20 over at Cobbs. So it is a very good course to step you up to the plate. |

Local Hidden Gem, Feb 16, 2004 |
| reviewer: A Non

| This is a fine local course for working on your irons. Even as a (60 year old) senior, I seldom use more than a 5 wood here. No sand, and water barely comes into play on one hole. Drastic elevation changes on the par 3 second and third holes. Course is wide open and wind can sometimes be a factor. Great for sharpening your skills before taking on regulation courses or for a pleasant 2 to 3 hours outdoors. |
