This course was built on the original land track owned by King George of England. Still standing on the property is a house that was built in 1742. The fairways, which were renovated during 1997, are open on the front nine, but the back nine has some narrow fairways. The greens are steeply pitched and very fast. The secret to putting well here is to never be above the hole. Water hazards (three ponds) come into play on three holes. The signature hole is #9, a 443-yard, par 4, requiring shots up a dogleg right fairway to an elevated green. This club held one of the U.S. Open qualifier tournaments in 1995. Carts are mandatory until 2 PM on weekends, between the months of April through October. The pro shop is open at 5:30 AM on weekends.

| Beautiful old style course with great greens. The course is not long but putting is difficult with fast greens. Take the tip and stay below the hole. The people running the course are very nice. I hope the course stays forever. Great value for the money. |
