This course was built on semi-rolling terrain and has many maple and pine trees that can affect your shots. Water hazards (ponds) come into play on two holes. The fairways are generally wide open, though some are narrow and require accuracy. This course is located in a large state park, which also includes camp sites, picnic areas and a large lake with boat launches.

"Good Starter Course"
For an inexpensive, well maintained course to play while you are learning the basics of golf, this course is the one to play on. No par 5's. The course has good water, and easy par 3's that are helpful when you feel the pressure of the group behind you when your beginning. For the price, the location in Fountain Valley's Mile Square Park is beautiful, and I've never felt that a person starting off in the sport would feel embarrassed to make a mistake at this course.

I grew up with my Dad on this course, and every day I think it gets better. The place is very well maintained and the bar is laid-back. It also has a public swimming pool where you can drop the kids off for the day while you and the guys go play. Highly recomended.

this is a good course if you want to come to a fun golf course that isn't very diffeicult you should come here. I play here alot, but i'm not very good and the course is very very forgiving. The holes aren't very long and don't have a lot of hazards. From my experience the greens are very easy to read and most of the par 4's could be reached off the tee with a good shot. This is a good course if you are like me and want to get a boost of confidence in your game. The people are nice and even though i am not very good i still have fun. the hot dogs are the best in the area and all the food is priced well unlike all the other overpriced country clubs.
