Anybody can see right away that this golf course is an exceptional course. Wide fairways, generous greens, etc. What they will experience that rates an outstanding are the people. The friendliest, most helpful and fun people to be found in any golf club. The staff at Sugar Hills make you want to keep coming back.

Sugar Hills is a great course to play while your in the area. It is probably the best course in Northwest Kansas. It is one of the few 18 hole courses in the area. Sugar Hills for the majority of the course, is pretty open. There are some challenging holes with trees, dog-legs, and out-of-bounds standing in your way. It is an advantage as always to hit it straight here, but you can still score decent even with a few bad shots. There are some pretty forgiving holes. And there are a few holes that you may pick up strokes on for not hitting fairways. Mainly because of the out-of-bounds that runs all the way down quite a few fairways. It is a great course to play and really enjoyable from tee to green.

now days coarses are becoming longer and longer. this coarse is an exception to that rule. the challenge to this coarse are the greens. when freshly mown they roll at a 12 on the stemp meter. On many of the greens it is impossible to stop the ball if you get above the hole. There is no advantage to hitting the ball a long way. 300 yards off the tee here does not help you very much. The nice thing about this coarse is that older folks that can hit the ball straight can score as well as the young pups who hit the ball a ton. Great coarse for all ages.
