This eighteen hole course is located on lush, hilly terrain. The fairways are tree lined and rolling. There are numerous elevations changes on the course, primarily with elevated tees playing down to greens. Hole #7 is particularly stunning because it overlooks the skyline of Downtown Nashville. The greens are average-sized and have moderate undulation. They are also well-bunkered. The signature hole is #6, a 198-yard, par 3, featuring an elevated tee and a picturesque rock formation to the left of the green.

The way it is supposed to be, Mar 02, 2004

This course is an exceptional test of golf and a truly pastoral experience. The elevated tees provide scenic vistas and wonderful backdrops. The clubhouse, restaurant and staff are first class and lend an air of pleasure to the overall day. Golfers who are looking for the complete golf experience at affordable prices should check this one out!

"A true hidden jewel"
If you ever get a chance to play this course then do it. It's longer than you think it is and it is a very tough course. The course is kept in excellent shape and the weekday cost to play is very reasonable. The membership cost is also very reasonable for someone who is looking for a moderately priced country club.

Tierra del Sol Golf Club
"Played Tierra del Sol many times"
Tierra del Sol is an excellent test of any golfers ability. Several holes present outstanding challenges with water, out-of-bounds, undulating terrain, and several difficult (blind) tee shots involved. The course becomes even harder when wind comes up as it often does in this Mojave Desert community. This is an outstanding course to play for the money. Only lack of conditioning excellence on some holes keeps this from rating higher.
