I have worked and played golf at AVCC for about a season and I have many things to say about it. It is a very enjoyable course and players of many skill levels will enjoy it. However, the fairways and greens are not always in tip top shape. Slow play is always an issue here. There is not a whole lot of variety on the holes, and much of it is flat terrian. It ranks at about a 5 on the difficulty scale. Many reachable par 5's and all of the par 3's are simple strait shots. It is a very interesting course in a very nice setting. If your in the area and want to play a cheap round of golf, go here. But if your into perfect courses with immaculate upkeep, head somewhere else. I should mention that the people who play here are generally very welcoming and considerate.

"A real golfer's golf course"
This course was designed to be a test for the average golfer. It is in the traditional design of Florida courses and not tricked up as many of the new courses are. It is fair but difficult at times. Some holes can raise up and bite you if you aren't concentrating. A lot of water and many bunkers make this a fun day on the Sun Coast.

the golf course is kept in as good of condition as any public golf course you will ever play. "Not an easy walk but good for practicing woods"
This course has many hills and is pretty long. If there are no carts I would think twice about walking it. There are not water hazards like in the main discription and no sand traps. The course is a little on the open side. Overall good course for a day out if you don't mind the lower scale courses. The fairways are pretty much fields.
