This short course is fairly easy to walk. Water hazards come into play on three holes, and there are a few sand bunkers on the course. The slightly-sloped greens are large, and the plush fairways are tree lined. Tee times are only reserved for weekends and holidays. Ladies hit from the same set of tees as the men.

"Nice course but difficult to get on........"
This is a great course, provided you can get on it. Always packed, best course in the area by far....I played here once and I am a resident, that shows you how hard it is to get a tee time here, used to be they only wanted non-residents because they pay more to play, (residents get a great discounted rate)...bad management idea there, of course residents complained and alot has changed....if you get the chance to play here by all means do it...you wont regret it...

The new name for La Vista Golf Course in Wichita Falls, Texas is HAWK RIDGE GOLF COURSE. This course has undergone extensive improvements the last year and one half. The improvements made have made this into one of the best courses in this area. While I rated it as 3 stars, it could very well be on its way to being rated much higher. I have attended this course a numerous of times and really enjoy the atmosphere of the area. The course is always well kept, and I believe it to be one of the best in the area. The twenty seven holes only makes it more enjoyable, by offering a new experience each time out. I was very pleased with the employeers as well. They were very attentive, and right on top of anything may group needed trhoughout the day. I will look into joining as soon as possible.
