This course, which was built alongside the Thornapple River, opened May 20, 1997. This design has a few holes that are links-style, but most of the fairways are wide and tree lined. The Thornapple River comes into play on three holes, and sand bunkers are sprinkled throughout the course. The course was built on rolling terrain so there will be some uneven lies. The greens are large, undulating and generally fast. The signature hole is #13, a 551-yard, par 5, which features an elevated tee box and the Thornapple River running up the left side of the fairway. Sand bunkers are also located 150 yards from the green, which is very well protected by a bunker to the left and a tree to the right.
