This course features three extremely narrow and hilly holes. Even though the rest of the holes were built on flat terrain, they are all lined with mature trees. Water hazards (ponds and a creek) come into play on nine holes. Tee times for the weekends are reserved on the prior Wednesday. The club doesn't open until noon on Monday.

This course is fun to play because it gives you space on some holes while others are tight. A pond here and there to make it interesting.

Sunnybrook is a 45 year old course designed by Bruce Matthews. It is a joy to play and in excellent condition. A map of it may look pretty straight forward, but there is trouble in places you simply have to play around. Grass is in great shape and well cared for. The premium is on hitting a straight ball and knowing your club selection.

"Nice Layout"
Course is well laid out, no worry of hitting into or being hit by other fairways. Golf community with housing that doesn't inhibit play. Bent grass greens are small, but fast and true. Traps need work. Rolling terrain provides challenge. Water hazards on about half the holes. Pretty course.

Member : I found this golf course very changing and beautiful. Even though the course is somewhat short, it is heavily guarded with trees and it has a fair amount of sand around the greens and 3 fairway bunkers, the 1st is on #3 and the other 2 on #17 . The greens are very will maintained with a good quick pace to them. It would be wise to keep it in the short grass because the ruff can get pretty hairy. The best thing about this course is that the average cost to play is $20 to $40 dollars with cart. The down side is that it is located in the sticks (Corry Pa.), about 50 to 60 minutes south east of Erie Pa. They recently started taking take t-times about 2 years ago, so you can call ahead and schedule your time (up to 3 days ahead). If you like a changing and scenic golf course you should take the short trip to North Hills and give the course a try. Happy golfing R.A.W.

Ferncroft Country Club - Championship Course

I've placed hundreds of courses in this country and Ferncroft for a resort club is one of the better places to play! For a private resort the cost of greens fees are perhaps a bit expensive, but you have to willling to pay to play one of the better well run courses in the area! The Bent grass on the fairways and greens are always well maintained. The layout is challenging for a course of just over 6,600 yards from the tips. They've just rebuilt the 3rd Green and 4th Tee. From time to time depending on the season they may have some standing water issues. From what I've been told by the Director of Golf they are taking care of this in the near future with a new irrigation system.

This course used to be one 1 star course but they have worked hard to make the course 2 stars. The greens are much nicer than a year ago. this course is good for learning the game, it's a very easy course.
