decent course at best....the web site has a box that sais green fees are $20 or less.....BS!!!!Automated teller system that throws you out and does not give you the oppurtunity to book after hearing rates such as $77.66 for a lesson....don't worry range balls are included....Just another poorly run City Track....

Best value in Texas. Super facility, well maintained, very reasonably priced. I play all over the country and come back to Grapevine when in the Dallas area.

Incredible, hard to belive it's a municipal!, Sep 06, 2006

I decided to try it because it's close to my house and relatively cheap. I was amazed. It's a 27 hole course, so it provides some variance and it's in unbelievablely good shape; especially when you consider I played it on the first day of September and Texas has had one the hottest and dryest on record. Lots of elevation changes.

Arguably the best muni course in TX. The greens are perfect and since they have reworked the entire course, it is all in perfect shape. I paid $27 to walk and all the people over at The Cowboys golf course paid $125... I hope nobody reads this because once they find out how good the course is it will be difficult for me to get on. :-}

"My Course"
I love this course, the greens are kept in good condition. They are very challenging but fun. The fairways are also kept very well. The only thing I would change is the prices and the way it is run. I recommend a membership to anyone!!!!

Lufkin Country Club
"Very fun, and inexpensive."
This course is a very well kept secret in the old part of Lufkin, Texas. Not your upper tier type course but cheap for the quality. Fairways are very plush with just a very few spots that need work. And the greens, oh wow, possibly the best greens in the Lufkin-Nacogdoches area (including Crown Colony). It has the very challenging holes that you need to play cautious golf, and then it has the type of holes that you can attack with everything you have. When you finish this course, you will definately want to come back for more.

Kissena Park Golf Course
"Great Fun"
As someone who is trying to improve his golf game I find the wide fairways inviting and forgiving. Holes that are not so long that they become intimidating, but still provide a good challenge. Some of the uphills are still a bit scary even though they are short holes. Each hole provides a different scenario, with most of them giving you an opportunity to think about how you want to approach them. They challenge the mind a little, and that's a good thing. I really enjoy this course each time I play it.
