This scenic course is surrounded by the Berkshire Mountains. The course was built on flat terrain, and water hazards come into play on eight holes. The signature hole is #5, a 500-yard, par 5, requiring a long tee shot to the fairway, then a carry over water to an elevated green with a sand bunker protecting the front.

Short, Tight and Tough, Jun 11, 2008

This may be as tough a 6,100 yard course as any in the state. Narrow fairways, postage stamp, crowned greens make hitting many in regulation very hard. The upside is that on the short front nine if you hit a green in regulation, you have a birdie putt. The more traditional back side is more open and the greens are much larger - at least most of them. The yardages on the card make you think you can score easily, but such is not the case. Excellent condition all of the time.

This is one of the most beautiful courses I have ever scene! It is perfectly set in the middle of the Rocky Mountains at the base of Mount Crested Butte.

Hyde Park Golf Club
"Wide Open Drive"
Fairly well kept course, the fairways are wide open for the most psrt, so if you lose your new Titlest, its your fault...There are a few water hazards in challengable spots. Bunkers are all easily avoidable. This is actually a challenging course, but one that wont drive you nuts with every stroke. Its also a pretty good course for those who arent, Arnold Palmer. You have to know your game, but it allows for mistakes, without costing you 3 strokes. The trees are beautiful, and the wildlife around the course adds to the experience. Its nice to find a place like this tucked among the city, and tall radio towers, which are right in the middle of the course, between holes nine and ten, which is the primary problem spot for this course. Its priced right, and a good challenge for the money.

So So course. I was shocked to find out that the dinning is open to the public because of their alcohol lic. I mean, why pay for membership when anyone can come off the street and eat/drink at your club.
