This links-style course has small greens and narrow fairways. There are two par 5's measuring over 560 yards. Hole #6 is monstrous, measuring 565 yards, with a double bending dogleg fairway, and requiring a tee shot to the left past trees, then a second or approach shot up the right to a well-bunkered green. Hole #14, which measures 570 yards, requires a straight tee shot through some towering trees, and finally an approach shot to a fairly small green.

| This course, as it is one of the oldest in the nation (built in 1896) is quite different than many of the area or even country. The clubhouse is unfortunately not very stately, nor is the course very well kept, but it is clearly unique from all others in that it clearly has 100% British design. Water comes into play very little, but there is tall, dead grass bordering every single hole, and it will easily make or break a round. To top this off, the course can get tight at times, and is almost always long. One can normally expect a driver and then a mid to long iron to every green. I rate this as a 3 because what it lacks in upkeep, it makes up for in originality, style, and difficulty. |
