This exclusive course is open only to the club members and their guests. The course is somewhat narrow, and every hole has out-of bounds stakes lining its fairway. Water hazards come into play on four holes. Many of the tees and large greens are elevated. The greens are extremely undulating, fast and a couple of them are double-tiered. You may see wildlife, including bear and deer, plus a beautiful view of the eighteen-mile-long Lake Wallenpaupack.

evtremely tight, greens fast but true, hit it straight and your ok, not and your dead, greens excellent but nasty. thank god for my taylor made driver.

This very exclusive club is one of the best i've ever played on. Not excessively long, but very challenging. The course was in impeccable shape, and 16 of the 18 holes could be signature holes. If you ever get a chance to play this beatiful track, jump at it.

Ferncroft Country Club - Championship Course

I've placed hundreds of courses in this country and Ferncroft for a resort club is one of the better places to play! For a private resort the cost of greens fees are perhaps a bit expensive, but you have to willling to pay to play one of the better well run courses in the area! The Bent grass on the fairways and greens are always well maintained. The layout is challenging for a course of just over 6,600 yards from the tips. They've just rebuilt the 3rd Green and 4th Tee. From time to time depending on the season they may have some standing water issues. From what I've been told by the Director of Golf they are taking care of this in the near future with a new irrigation system.
