This par 3 course is family operated. The back nine was added in 1974 and is more wooded than the front nine. This course is well suited for the beginner and senior. Water hazards do come into play on three holes. Ladies tee off from the same set of tees as the men.

Fun, but small, May 04, 2004

This a fun course, and I highly recommend it. Maybe not as perfectly upkept as other courses, it definitely has its challenges and it usually isn't too busy for the beginner to get some tips from other players and spend some time looking for his ball.

"Great place to go have fun!"
This course is a fun and challenging course. I gave it 4 stars because no course is perfect. The only problem with this course is there is a lot of trees which means there are usually a lot of leaves on the ground, especially in the fall. You also have to think about the trees themselfs, because no matter what everybody tells you, trees are NOT 90% air.

Wynstone Golf Club

Wynstone is situated on a topographically diverse landscape, unbecoming of many Chicagoland golf venues. It has abundant wildlife which adds to the course's balance between a parkland and wetland. Wynstone also offers a unique challenge for any golfer. Not only is the golf course difficult at 7,000+ yards, but also presents a challenge to any comers at 6,500. Both birdies and bogies are easily found throughout the track. Finally, the course is maintained hard and fast. Fairways and greens are firm which requires and rewards shotmaking.

Hauppauge is nicer of the two clubs there. We allways get a green when we get there, and Mary likes your lunches better! I thought the pro shop was marvellous - I nearly went BROKE before I got out of there! Do you plan to expand?
