This links-style course was built among white sand dunes approximately 1,000 yards from the beach. The signature hole is #9, a 428-yard, par 4, featuring a well-guarded green surrounded by water and several sand bunkers. "Golf Digest" rated this as the 2nd "Best New Public Course" in America for 1995, and selected it 24th among the "Top 75 Upscale Courses" for 1996. In addition, "Golf Digest" rated this as the 3rd "Best in State" course for 1997-98.

| This course has a tough layout and is in great condition. Make sure you are driving the ball in the fairway because it will drive your score up if you dont. Long course with lots of water and sand. Must play this course. |

| This course is one of the best in Alabama. Very difficult with hazzards and wastebunkers on almost every hole. Greens are fantastic and accuracy off the tees is a must. |
