This course has two distinct nine hole designs. The terrain on the front nine is predominantly flat, and the fairways are typically narrow. The terrain on the back nine is somewhat mounded, and the fairways are wide open. Water hazards (ponds) come into play on almost every hole. Brad Benz and Dick Phelps designed the back nine, which opened in 1984.

| This isnt a bad course but could be better for the price. If your only doing 9 holes try and get on the back nine which has pretty good views. The staff tends to ignore some customers especially the younger ones. Over all its a descent course but I have played many public courses that cost less and are better maintained. |

| Incredable how far the ball flies at 8000'... The front 9 on this Rocky Mountain gem of a golf course, is challenging yet not intimidating. The Back 9 is one of the most scenic I've ever seen! The 13th hole at the base of Heartmans Rocks, is truely nothing short of spectacular! The Gunnison River and the Tomichi Creek both flow through the course and provide amazing water hazzards. Over the water and around the ponds... to lay up or not to lay up that is the question at Dos Rios Golf Course in Gunnison. Very well maintained and a great friendly environment to make your stay in the Colorado Rockies the absolute best! Great meals in the club house, a friendly 19th hole, and the pro shop has got it all... be sure to plan a round at this premier course! |
