I lived in the heatherridge subdivision for 11 years and played the course 1,000 times. There is no starter and no ranger. So, if your planning on playing there, make sure you have about 16 hours to kill

Heather Ridge Golf course is one of the nicer 9 hole courses for a reasonable price. There is something for everyone, and it is especially friendly to those learning to play the game. It has its share of difficult hazards, water and variety. The greens are well kept and true. I highly recommend it for a pleasant golf experience that is not overly intimidating.

This is a great place to golf to practice a disiplined swing, it doesn't take much to get in trouble.

"Best Course in WNY"
Not an overly long course, it rewards accuracy off the tee and penalizes errant strokes. The greens are fast and true, and generally break less than one would imagine. The front nine is deceptive, punishing anyone who strays off the tree-lined fairways. The back nine can be attacked, but the sightlines off the tees can intimidate the first time player. Use long irons from the tee to keep the ball in play(only if they are are a strength in your game), and you will be surprised with the result. Putting is the primary key to scoring on this picturesque layout.

This course is okay as far a playability goes. When I went there were dead spots of grass in the fairways and the greens, however we were in the middle of a drought during this time. For a small town golf course, it is pretty good.
