Played a as guest in mid-May. Boring Course. Grrens are OK -- a lot of undulation. Not a lot of memorable holes, with the exception of a couple par 3's. 16 (I think) is a par 3 with a stupid green. Conditions were not much better than a public course. They need to bring in a USGA course guy. I know it is an old course, but too many bald spots due to the thickness of the trees. Need to get some sun and air circulation to help with conditions. And what's with the range? Nothing over a 150 yards... I Try to play as many of the privates as possible, but I'll put this in the "Been there done that..." category.

"Sweet Little Nine-Holer!"
I have enjoyed this course for over 10 years. It seems to be a well-kept secret, however. The owner of the course and his wife are the finest folks you will ever meet. Although the course is short, it is demanding. You must place your shots very well in order to shoot a good round. Stop by and say hello to the nice folks that own and run the course.

Ellis Maples used time-tested design methods on Quarry Hills golf course. Not alot of earth was moved when placing the holes, and the result is a warm, natural feel when walking this course.
