This course opened its new back nine during the early part of 1997. This course's slightly sloped greens are elevated and difficult to read. Some of the average width fairways are lined by trees, and all of them are defined by a standard cut of rough. Water hazards only come into play on two holes. This is an excellent course for the intermediate golfer. Ladies tee off from the same set of tees as the men.

This person must have been kicked off the course for being drunk and disorderly. Hadley Acres is in no way the way that he has described it. The course is in great shape, the greens are the best i've played on in regards to a public course in michigan and the elevated greens are a challenge. the back nine is positively beautiful and the Family that owns it are great. If Mr. Madison wants to rip on Hadley Acres, he should probably show us the golf course that he owns that allows him to talk so rude about this one.

I find Hadley a fun place to play. The front nine is quite open allowing for an errant shot to be recovered. The back nine is where one puckers up as shot placement is critical. The 12th hole has two ponds that come into play making club choice off the tee the most important. Course care has come a long way in the past few years and I have continued to see improvements in the overall course conditions. I rate playing here well above the other public courses in the county and certainly would recommend it.

If you were on the tour, I wouldn't recommend this course, but if you wan't to go out and hit the sticks with the boys at a affordable price, then this is your course. Laid back easy play with a relaxed atmosphere. You'll never have to worry about some idiot hitting up on you or long delays at the tee. Good Time.

Don't Golf HEAR!! at Green Acres!!, Apr 13, 2004 |

Let me tell you about this course. The first 9 holes are all elevated greens (because the owner is a retired shop worker and can't afford real greens) The fairways are hard pan with little or no irrigation. Every green is a bowl and do not roll true. The seventh hole is a par 3 201yds up hill and the course owner rates the whole as number 6??? You are hitting up hill 200yds to a green that's hard pan and about the size of a kitchen table (not kidding) I don't think this was done on purpose but rather out of laziness to cut the green back to it's original size. The back nine is laid out much better but not well maintenanced. As far as the customer service goes? well it doesn't exists!! Golf Etiquette does not exists at this course. So if you want to know what it would be like to golf in a third world country then Hadley Acres is for you. I guess I should have know by the name HUH? I think it would be more accurate if it was Green Acres.
