The fairly-wooded course was built on rolling terrain, so expect some uneven lies. The greens vary from small to medium in size, and the terrain is somewhat flat. Seniors who like to walk and beginning golfers will really enjoy playing this course. Thursday is senior citizen day.

Small affordable, Aug 06, 2008

Course fairways are in slight decline. Weeds grow everywhere. Members chat loudly as they play. This is an old course for the area that has seen better days, but for a cheap price you can play 9 holes in a nice setting.

Lake Platte Golf Club
"It's Okay"
This course is okay as far a playability goes. When I went there were dead spots of grass in the fairways and the greens, however we were in the middle of a drought during this time. For a small town golf course, it is pretty good.

Danville Country Club
"Delicious"
I found this course and county club to be quite exciting. The main reason for this was because of one stand out individual. This man was Brad Irle, he introduced me to the realm that is Danville Country Club. Never before have I ever fathomed in any of my wildest, most exotic dreams to see such a plethora of food placed before me. After an enivorating and exciting round Brad and I stopped into the 19th whole to wet our whistles with a tasty tripple Gin and Tonic. I thank you Danville for all the memories I have, and the future visits that I look forward to.

Knollwood Golf Course
"A womans point of preference"
Very challenging course for women. Men are impressed with women who can hit stright drives and consistant fairway shots onto the green. Men have a problem at Knollwood because of their ego gets the better of them.

Cedarbrook Country Club
"Nice !"
Cedarbrook is a great course for a good price. Course will test every golfer. At 6900 yards it's long enough to be a test yet not so long that it's unfair. Great greens and in very nice shape.
