This course, which borders the 22,000-acre Smith Mountain Lake, features narrow fairways and well-bunkered greens that are severely sloped. One of the most difficult holes is #18, a 406-yard, par 4, featuring a slight dogleg left fairway and requiring an approach shot over water to the green. The clubhouse is a restored farmhouse, with a pro shop, restaurant and full banquet facilities. Walking is permitted after 2 PM. Tee times are required.
